Welcome to the module on tiered instruction to support children’s language and literacy skills in Singapore. The module describes how a tiered approach can be used to help children develop language and literacy skills in child care programs and kindergartens in Singapore. The module resources (activities, video clips, handouts) help you know, see and try out the practices. Before you can implement this approach, a number of decisions will need to be made such as working with the Development Support Programme (DSP) team to select appropriate assessment tools and specific interventions, and you will need additional professional development to show you how to use these assessments and interventions with young children.
